The trainer will be represented by the likes of Induna, Ambidexter, Free Wheeling and Galah in the 2012 Hobartville Stakes.

All four of the three-year-olds will have to fend off Manawanui and Hot Snitzel, who has dominated the betting markets for the race.

Snowden expects all his horses to run well in the 2012 Hobartville Stakes, but admits that they will be looking for more distance.

“They are four really nice horses but are all looking for that mile (1600m) plus,” Snowden said.

“All those four horses will make their presence felt in the autumn but in their right races.”

The trainer admits that race may not be this Saturday’s Hobartville Stakes.

“Saturday is not their right race. I think three of them – Galah, Free Wheeling and Ambidexter – are looking for the mile and I’ve targeted the Randwick Guineas with them,” he said.

“I feel the Randwick Guineas is the right race for them while Induna is naturally heading towards the (Australian) Derby.”

While he may be looking for a longer race distance, Galah has twice won over 1,400 metres in the past and will be a major player in the 2012 Hobartville Stakes.

Galah has won four of his six race starts and has earned close to $320,000 in prize money.

The Redoute’s Choice colt will be first-up in the 2012 Hobartville Stakes after having a four month summer spell following his third placing in the Group 2 Sandown Guineas last November.

Australian Derby hopeful Induna has never won over a distance less than 2,100 metres and will prove more successful over longer staying races.

Induna finished second in his last start in the Group 1 Victoria Derby at Flemington in October last year and will be having his first start for the autumn carnival in the 2012 Hobartville Stakes.

Racing kicks off at Rosehill Racecourse on February 24, 2012, when Apollo Stakes Day is scheduled to take place.

The Group 2 Apollo Stakes, along with the Group 3 Southern Cross Stakes and Listed Triscay Stakes, are due to run on the day.

Alma’s Fury is expected to run in the 2012 Apollo Stakes after a spotless start to his current campaign.

The four-year-old gelding has won all three of his starts this preparation and will be looking to tackle some of the top feature races this autumn.

“I would say that he’ll go straight into the Apollo Stakes,” trainer Paul Murray said.

Murray is yet to confirm Alma’s Fury’s autumn starts, but has nominated him for a run in the 2012 Doncaster Mile at Randwick Racecourse on April 21, 2012.

Following Apollo Stakes Day, Rosehill Racecourse will next play host to the Group 2 Silver Slipper Stakes and Group 2 Hobartsville Stakes on March 3, 2012.

The Group 3 Millie Fox Quality, Listed Fireball Quality Handicap and the Listed Parramatta Cup will also take place on the day.

Major race days that follow at Rosehill racecourse in March include Coolmore Classic Day and Rosehill Guineas Day, which both include eight Black Type races.

The Rosehill Guineas field may include impressive galloper Manawanui horse, who won the Golden Rose last spring.

The final and biggest race meeting at Rosehill for the year comes on Saturday April 7, 2012, when Golden Slipper Day takes place.

The money has been flooding in for a few runners in the field with Hot Danish charging to favouritism at $3.50 fixed price at online book makers Luxbet.

Her place price has been backed nearly into nothing, not surprising given the mare hasn’t missed a place since mid way through 2009 with an overall place percentage of 80 percent.

It’s by no means a one horse race though with plenty of others well below double figures.

Love Conquers All is second in the line of betting less than a dollar outside Hot Danish at around the $4.40 fixed price mark.

The stallion has powered to six victories from his 12 career races with a very impressive second in the last Start Expressway Stakes adding to the quality of his resume.

There are two main doubts over this horse though, one is having drawn the widest gate and the second is having never won over this distance. Both issues certainly not enough to completely discount him though.

Third in betting at the moment is Melito at $4.80 who has shown a good deal of consistency in recent runs after being a little erratic early in its career.

Of course Centennial Park was always going to gain a great deal of support after claiming the Expressway Stakes in impressive style. Despite this great show of form he certainly hasn’t been backed off the chart with some punters still unconvinced as to the real quality about this horse. Current prices are steady at $6 and could go either way before the race jumps.

The final contender who should never be discounted is of course champion galloper Danleigh.

He’s without a win for over a year but his overall career in enviable. With nearly $2 million alongside his name and a host of victories his class should certainly show through in the Apollo Stakes. If you fancy him you can get around $8 fixed price and a little more on the fluctuations.

If you’ve decided they’re all too close and just want the best odds you can then you could show blind faith for Run For Naara at odds well out over $100.

This champion mare has maintained her speed over the years, recently topping an 802 metre barrier trial with a 48.10 second run. Leading the odds at SportsBet is Crystal Lily at $4.20, though she is followed closely by Masquerader at $4.40.

Crystal Lily had a Golden Slipper win earlier this year and recently placed second in the Listed Quezette Stakes. It looks good for the 3 year old filly, though this will be the longest race she has ever run in.

Masquerader has the advantage of having run second in the Run to the Rose several weeks ago, coming in just behind Squamosa. While the Run to the Rose was not quite as long as the Golden Rose will be, it is still closer to the distance than any race that Crystal Lily has run.

Run to the Rose winner Squamosa is also running in this race, with odds of $12 at SportsBet. This looks like an incredible bet to make at first glance, as Squamosa has yet to lose a race in three starts. However, the colt has drawn barrier 14 and seems unlikely to make up for it.

A place bet on Squamosa in the Golden Rose odds at SportsBet looks to be great value, and the current price stands at a very decent $3.60.
